School Council

We want all the children in the school to enjoy their education and to feel that their school respond to their needs. Pupils should have the opportunity to let adults know their feelings and opinions about things that affect them.

They should also be able to have a say about decisions, and to play an active role in making their school a better place. These are the main functions of our school council.

Each year, every class will elect 2 representatives to be members of the school council.

The school council meets weekly- always with a teacher present- to discuss issues raised by both staff and pupils. These may include school lunches, behaviour or ideas for fundraising events. In fact any issue that could lead to school improvement.

Over the years the School Council has been responsible for raising several thousands of pounds for the benefit of local charities.
